2010/11 Photo AdvenTours Commercial

Hello everyone. I’m in the midst of packing up my backpack for an early morning start… in roughly 7 hours. Scott Slone and I are heading back to the Talkeetna Mountains and Hatcher Pass. Got the tent and a few wraps & snacks. Sleeping bag, bed roll… Oh… what else? Oh! Yeah! Camera gear!

I wanted to share this video with you before I left. Please feel free to comment (as always!) while I’m gone. I hope you like it. I have been having a lot of fun with shooting more video. I have a long ways to go before I learn perhaps what 1/10th of Scott’s left pinky knows about video – but I’m enjoying the learning process and entirely different workflow. So, go easy on me:D

I’ll be formally unveiling all the details regarding the 3 amazing photo tour options for 2011 very shortly. They are a long time coming, but well worth the wait!

Also, if you notice, the “Photography” menu option now has a new submenu title – “Online Galleries and Videos“. That’s right, every video I shoot will be added to this page – and all the archived ones are right there… right now. So go check ‘em out. But not before you watch the one directly below!

This is the 2010/11 AdvenTour Commercial for Sixtyone North. I hope you enjoy…

Stay tuned…

  1. Awesome commercial, very well done! Love everything about it, yet that music sounds SO familiar! Where have I heard that before? :) Aside from that, it’s such an honor to be apart of something you have such passionate respect for photography, and Alaska’s Wild Lands and Wild Life.

  2. Dave, you’re too modest. That was very well done.

  3. Dave – That is a pretty sweet little video. If that’s your own footage, I think the time you’ve spent hanging out with professional videographers is paying off. Keep up the good work.

  4. Thanks everyone -
Kent, that is my footage indeed, but I’ve got a looooong ways to go! Not sure if I’ll ever get “good” at video, but I’m gonna try. It’s a whole new ball game, but photography is still my passion. What can I say? I’ve got talented friends!
