Here in Alaska, we are heading into prime time for wild flowers. It starts in early June and rolls on through August. Lupine, wild rose, forget-me-nots, columbine, monkshood, fireweed… and so many more. Alaska is known for its grand landscapes, and they are grand. But the macro world has so much to offer here. Here’s a small selection of some recent images, taken over the past 2 weeks.
I’m heading back to Cordova tomorrow. Absolutely, positively, one of my favorite places on the planet. I will probably be out of contact for a while, since wifi and cell coverage is spotty there… at best. But that’s one of the reasons I like it so much, it is one of the best places to unplug. Until I return, I hope you all have a great weekend – and get out and shoot, wherever you are!

There is an entire world in each petal or leaf. This gardener appreciates the visit.
Thanks for taking us on the journey.
And have a safe & productive trip to Cordova.
