Nice move Dave. Really good opportunity for people to “tune up” their gear list with some real world advice before heading to the great land.
Thanks Todd. I think this will be a great way to see a bunch of photos from Alaska as well as learn some “insider” information. All for free!
Really enjoyed your coverage of your trips across the Denali Highway – definitely one of the top stretches of road. Anywhere. We must have just missed each other. I traveled from ANC to Cantwell, over to Paxson and then down to Valdez and back to Wasilla via Glennallen – the same as you! Can’t wait to do it all over again next year with a couple more days worked in.
Happy Holidays Todd & take care!
Hi Dave,
My wife and I just wanted to say thank you for a great presentation today at the Fox River Camera Club in St. Charles IL. I envy your youth and physical ability to get to places I no longer can.
I would like to learn a little more about your stock photography project when you have time.
Also when you have some time take a look at my photo web site ( http://www.lousphotos.com ) and travel log ( http://www.ayearinalaska.com ).
FYI I just checked and no we were not in Homer at the same time. Our visit there was February 22 – 27 2009.
Have a happy and prosperous new year.
Lou and Val Petkus
