I’m always looking for ways to get my images out there. Paid, or otherwise. A great way to display images is as a desktop/background on a computer screen. Now, I can’t take credit for this concept – incorporating a desktop picture with a monthly calendar. Fellow photographer Younes Bounhar has been offering something similar for several months now. His offerings are always beautiful and classy. As they say, imitation is the purest form of flattery…
So, here’s the deal. Before the beginning of each month, I’ll upload a new desktop background/calendar image on my site and post it with a notification. If you like it, please feel free to download it and use it as a background for your computer screen. My hope is that it will help relax you and bring a bit of the outdoors in. There are two sizes for right now, a widescreen version (1920 x 1080 px) and a standard format (1440 x 900). Just choose the one that is closest to your screen dimension, click on the linky and right click on the image – select “Set as Desktop Background”. And BAM! You’ve got yourself a new desktop background of a beautiful Alaskan scene! All free. Gotta love it.
Here’s this months offering – December 2009.
